We are Stratosfire, a five piece Alternative Rock band from Felixstowe and Ipswich. As a collective we are a relatively new band, however, brothers and guitarists Josh and Ben Locke along with bass player Murray Collins have been writing and performing songs together for a good few years. It was only in mid 2008 after drummer Ashley Paul and vocalist Mike Adkins joined that we became a much more professional and experimental outfit.
Although we call ourselves Alternative Rock, we are not a heavy metal band, more rock with heart as our songs have quite a wide range of appeal. From rocky, feel-good songs to ballads with a twist, we find it is quite hard to put a genre on our music.
We are all developing our musical knowledge and talents and thoroughly enjoy experimenting with different styles of music and playing techniques. We are building our repertoire rapidly and looking forward to performing as much as possible; our music is our ultimate passion.
