The screening event is very important to Stray Cinema, as it navigates our film experiment out of the online digital world, and into the ’real world’.
This event involves the screening of the top five film submissions coupled with VJs mixing the raw footage to live music. It engages the online community, by webcasting footage from the event live onto our website, along with live web-chat, blogging.

Movies
we are starting to look for new footage to use for stray cinema 2010. if we choose to use your footage, we will organize a screening of your film in your country, along with our top five finalists.

About me: Stray Cinema is an open source film. On our website you are able to download and re-edit raw footage from a film shot in Barcelona. This will provide people from all over the world with an opportunity to create their own version of the film. To tell their own story with our footage. we challenge you to make a more interesting cut of the film than the director does.

Our second 'Corrosive Noise' NZ Tour is coming up in July 2009. This time we are joined by dunedin dj crew 'Urban Terror Unit', who ripped up Phat 09's pre party last new years. We will be playing lots of new material from our forthcoming album 'Awakening' on NZ's own Bassweight Recordings. Come check it out!
