Stray Dancer has been together since 2006. The members are Merry Leigh Giarra, Robert Alexander, Carl Henry, Lenny Andrews, Ted Stubblefield and Cody Stubblefield. Robert and Carl had been members of the now defunct (but not forgotten) Silver Rock Band. The band has gone through some changes and various musicians until settling on the current lineup. Merry Leigh brings her strong vocal style to Alexander's music and she has brought several originals of her own to the mix. Lenny Andrews is a very talented guitarist and singer/songwiter that the band is fortunate to have. The rhythm section is manned by Ted and Cody Stubblefield (father and son) with Ted on a mean conga and Cody playing a Roland electronic hand drum with a gazillion sounds. Carl Henry plays stand up bass and lays down the backbone of the band's sound. The demo recordings on this website were done before Cody joined the band so the live sound is now more rhythmically intense. The band plans to record a full studio CD in the near future.
