---------------------------------"The messy brutal and random lives
of strays is the compelling subject of
fine art photographer Traer Scott's latest book.
While it should be depressing, Scott's
work reaffirms the decency of all living beings,
the daily miracles worked
by shop owners and rescuers who feed,
water and rehabilitate the dogs for adoption
and the indefatigable canine spirit."-Book Page

"Nobody can break a dog lover's heart like Scott,
the photographer responsible for last year's
Shelter Dogs.
This time, she focuses her camera on the
alarming
number of strays roaming the streets and
beaches of Mexico and Puerto Rico, creating
moving portraits of dogs abandoned and abused
but still surprisingly eager for human
companionship.
Scott is not all about the bad news:
Many of the animals in the photos were rescued
and sent to US shelters. Because her devotion
to needy animals comes through in every photo,
Scott brings
home an aching reality - there's too much breeding
and not enough spaying, and there are way too many
idiots in the world." --Miami Herald

Thanks for the add. I'm going to get the book. Our dog Stanley, (the little one) was a street dog in San Juan. We adopted him a couple of months ago. You can see him on my profile and in the pics. Our neighbor has one of these dogs also who looks a lot like the dog at the top of your profile. They are great dogs.
Thanks for the add. I saw SHELTER dogs on the ASPCA Christmas gift list and found STREET dogs by accident. All the pics are so beautiful. I truly admire your work!
got the Street Dogs as a present and I admire your job...I'm getting the Shelter one as well and will ensure to spread your job and the love for the less fortunate....you are my hero!
I have both of your books and you do wonderful work. They sit on my mantle and so many people look through them and cry but always feel inspired. I hope your pictures inspire people to adopt and contribute in other ways.
GOD BLESS YOU! I SUPPORT YOU AND YOUR CAUSE 100%. HAPPY HOLIDAYS! AND MAY THERE BE MORE PEOPLE OUT THERE WHO CARE FOR ALL THE FORGOTTEN, ABUSED, OR NEGLECTED ANIMALS LIKE US.
Thank you for this wonderful book! As a sato owner and Save A Sato volunteer, I can't thank you enough for helping educate everyone on the plight of these beautiful animals. I would love to add a photo of the book cover (with credit and link to you)to my page if it is okay with you.
Are you doing any book signings in the Boston area? I would love to get my copy signed, as well as send a few copies to PR for Gloria and some of the other volunteers.
Thank you again from two little satos and their Mom.
