In 1982 I started writing fanzines and also run a Record/Tape Distro called D.I.Y. Distribution and this continued right through to the early 90's. Street Voice came about in 1995 as a printed newsletter which was given out at various shows and Mail Order outlets. This covered both music and politics and still does to this day. Around 1999 I decided to release it as a E-Newsletter and it still goes out on a monthly basis in this form to around 45000 people around the globe.
Musically I've featured Pop, Power-Pop, Punk, HC, Thrash, Metal, Folk, Ska, Reggae, R n B. Indie and Techno Artists/Bands. I will continue to tread this path as there's still so many great artists/bands out there needing to be heard.
PR Agents I reguarly work with include Divsion, Hero, Quite Great and SAN.
Labels I work with include include Cherry Red, Do The Dog, Caned And Able, EMI, Warner, People Like You, Fat Wreck Chords, Epitaph, HellCat, Deck Cheese, Small Town Records and various smaller independent record labels.
Artists/Bands I've Interviewed/Reviewed include The Angelic Upstarts, Angie Bowie, Anine Bing, AntiProduct, Bayside, The Beautiful South, Bif Naked, Conflict, Corey Lee, Disco Ensemble, Flogging Molly, Goodbye Gadget, The Hedrons, Joan Jett, Juliette Lewis, DJ Keri, Lauren Harris, The Levellers, The Love Me Nots, McQueen, Pama International, Pamela Moore, Plastic Parachute, Sick56, Silverstein, Taylor Dayne, Terrorvision and Valeriya
For two and a half years (2004 - 2007) I interviewed/Reviewed over 1100 Artists/Bands for FFRUK an Independent Label and Webzine based in the UK. Previous to that I have also written/reviewed/interviewed bands/labels for Girl Punk Net, Punk Globe and Hardcore Street Sounds.
The mailing list stands at around 45000 people around the globe. Regular Bulletins/Updates are posted out on behalf of our clients on a very regular basis.
Street Voice will work with any Artist/Band/Label whatever the genre as long as their music is not Homphobic, Racist or Sexist.
Street Voice also welcomes the participation of the Female Artist within the scene. Unfortunately many people pass up on the chance to check out the positive contribution women put in to the scene. However in recent times things seem to have gotten better in that area but there still is much work to do to make sure the female artist has an equal footing in the music industry. Street Voice aims to put that right and make sure that women do have an important role to play in the Independent Music scene whether they play in band, write a zine, promote shows etc.
I also promote shows at the West Coast in Margate which is a classy intimate venue which holds around 350 people. Bands I've promoted there over the past two years include the Angelic Upstarts, Attack! Attack!, Conflict, Dirty Revolution, Dissolved In, Dreadzone, Elliot Minor, Ozric Tentacles, Skatalites, Syren, U2UK, Vice Squad and many many more! These shows happen on a regular basis so please be sure to ask whatever your musical genre.

Politically Street Voice is Marxist. I make no apologies for my disgust at the state of the capitalist world. It sucks - Plain and simple!
I also make no apologies for my staunch Anti Fascist and Animal Rights beliefs. My sentiments are that direct action will be the only way to destroy both Fascism and Animal Abuse. Those beliefs will be with me to the day I die.
As I want to keep this page music related please click on the image below to visit the main Street Voice site.
If you would like to get involved with Street Voice please send in all material to the address at the top of this page. You will be surprised with how much time and effort I will put in on behalf of your band, your label, your fanzine etc. Many bands, labels and fanzines have been pleased with the effort that has been put in on their behalf.
This service is NON profit and has been set up as an alternative to all the mainstream rubbish that is about. I offer 100% dedication towards Street Voice to make this alternative work and many have been happy with the work I do for them.
Thank you to everyone who supports Street Voice. As a site we are in a great position which helps artists, bands, labels, management and thats down to everyones support wether they be in the music industry or just a lover of good music. Without you there would be no site or no E-Zine.
