Strength Val is a Finnish rockband that combines elements from alternative-, grunge and progressive-rock. With these flavours this trio has created an unique and strong sound of their own. The band was formed in 2006 in Helsinki and it has three members: Henrikki Tenkanen (vocals, guitar), Mikko Haapanen (drums) and Lauri Pihlajaniemi (bass). Strength Val has released a Demo called Lost In Lines (2007) which was chosen in a category of an independent records of the year by Noise.fi. The band released their first Ep called For Absent Senses in 2008 which was a big step for the band as a better songs and much stronger sound than before.
The band is also known for its energetic and intense gigs that they have made all over the Finland. Audience has always been very nice to them even though the band has made fool of themself continually by moving around like some crazy animals and making these strange noises that harms everyones ears. At present the band is playing gigs as much as possible and spreading their bad taste to innocent people. Beware if you see these dangerous and smelly animals in your local public house!

actually I came to Helsinki yesterday after a long holiday in Italy. it is very nice from you to let me know about your gig, I appreciated a lot, when you will be famouse I won't get this special fan-treatment :-)
