Sounds Like
uhhh, well you would have to put about nine genras (Blues, rock, folk, Bluegrass etc) into a blender, then put it on full speed, then pour it out, and let it chill out a bit in the fridge.
Closest call would be:
NickleCreek meets Mott the Hoople and Poco in one long night.
And for you the younger audience, who are not familiar with these bands, you can say they are a great combination between the more common names of The Stones and Bob Dylan, just acoustic all the way.
Take three different Generations, three different background genres, and then tell those same people to play acoustic music. Well sometimes I guess you get lucky. In their case after seven years of faithful practice, and song writting they have ended up developing truely their own sound.
Have Over sixty original songs, and can preform over fifty covers.
font>Jeff- Came from hard blues background, rock, and do wop. The main lead singer and songwritter for the band. Has written over sixty songs for them in a little under seven years. Can play a mean lead on any guitar, and blues harp, let alone out of necessity is their rythem guitarist.Russ- Came from a metal background, Rock, and Hard industrial elctronica. Used to play thrash guitar, now plays a growing collection of different strings. If it has strings he will play it.Spring- Came from a classical background, played with odd end bands from rock to pop to metal before settling down with String Alley. Basically was just a violin player before these guys, and now can write, sing and play with the best of them.

Hey AlleyKatz, thanks so much for having us up at RobStock again this year. Mellow or not, it was an awesome weekend and we wouldn't have even known about it if it wasn't for you guys 4 years ago!!! very sorry that we didn't make it back down to the main pit Sat. pm, we went up to add clothes and change shoes, heard some sounds, drank some liquid, fully convinced ourselves the bear was on it's way back and just stayed put instead. Heard you 1000% up the hill, sounded beautiful. love the additional harmonies and there was a new song that Spring followed up around the chorus with "forever" a few times....what's that one??? Also thanks for "I know", I just love that as "you know". ;-) great time start to finish...only thing missing was more time with you guys. Hoping next year to have a few days off instead of just the weekend...was nice to just breathe. be well and hope to see you on the sandbar sooner than later. XX Robin & Sal
HELP PUT THE STANLEY BROTHERS IN THE COUNTRY MUSIC HALL OF FAME!
Ralph Stanley has received many well-deserved honors in the last few years, yet one honor eludes him. While many of their fellow musicians and singers have been recognized by The Country Music Hall of Fame, THE STANLEY BROTHERS have been sadly -- some say criminally -- overlooked.
Jeanie Stanley, youngest daugher of Carter, and fan Kaye Hill have organized an on-going petition to change all that.
"The Country Music Hall of Fame recognizes those persons who have made a significant contribution to the country music field," says Hill. "The Stanley Brothers helped lay the foundation for what we have today. Their names deserve to be listed among greats like Bill Monroe and Flatt & Scruggs, who have already be recognized."
You can join their efforts in one of the following ways:
Contact the CMHoF directly:
Mr. Kyle Young, President

Or, if you prefer, you can send a letter to Kaye Hill, who will forward them to the HoF.
