2009 has been a banner year as we steamrolled through 34 episodes featuring such heavy hitters as WE WERE LOVERS, ONE BAD SON, CARRIE CATHERINE, RYAN BOLDT (Deep Dark Woods) JEFFERY STRAYKER, CODIE PREVOST, STEPHEN MAGUIRE, and so on and so on and so on!
If you or your band want to be showcased on Stripped Down- here's what you need to know:
-While 'Stripped Down' itself rocks, the studio is unable to- so we ask that you bring an 'acoustic as possible' set to the show. We will work out instrument and mic details the week of the show, but please remember that we are unable to turn the guitar amps to 11 in the Shaw Studios.
- NO COVER'S ALLOWED! You never know when Paul McCartney will be sitting in the Saskatoon Radisson watching community television- and if he see's a local band singing Come Together, Mr. McCartney may fly into rage and sue Stripped Down right off the air! (The gentler version of this is that we are legally- not allowed to play other people's music without their permission).
-Expect to play somewhere between 5-8 songs during the one hour show.
-We tape Stripped Down Wednesday night's between 7 and 9pm.
HERE'S THE THREE THINGS WE NEED TO KNOW FROM YOU:
1-Number of band members
2-Number of Instruments
3-Number of vocal mics
Here at Stripped Down we love ideas! We love ideas bands bring to make their show unique! If you have ideas to make your episode of Stripped Down cooler than the rest we would love to hear it, however we cannot guarantee that every idea will be plausible;
Example 1:
The band:
"Our music has a carnival sound- the host and the band should all dress up like clowns".
Stripped Down:
"Okay".
Example 2:
The band:
"Our hit song is about living underwater, can we bring in 50 pounds of sand and have everyone dress up like mermaids?"
Stripped Down:
"No".

Hey Curtis and Crew...wanted to let you know I'm playing at the Roxy on Broadway Wed night (july 15). Stephen Maguire starts the night at 8pm then there is an open mic for intermission and I close the night at 10pm...should be a hoot! Come out if you are not taping an episode!
Cool! Well, we have 5 members (drums, bass, keys, 2 guitars) Umm... we've never done an acoustic set but ya, we can definitely play a more mellow / turned down set. Message us with details for what kind of time line works for you! xo *WWL*
While flipping through the channels today I noticed Stripped Down was on so I thought I would take a look. It turns out you had some sort of season summary episode airing and I just thought I would let you know that I thoroughly enjoyed it.
