About strobegirl

Hi there, thanks for checking out my music page here on myspace. What to say? Well I was born and raised in Croydon, South London. My Uncle bought me my first guitar when I was 18. Up till that time I would lose myself by writing words, pages and pages of words. It was poetry mostly but I loved just playing around with words. That changed when I got my guitar cuz to mesh those words together with the music was a whole different, amazing experience. I always felt a bit like I didn..t fit in like I was different, gawky, awkward, geeky, not really as good as everyone else was. I never really got how people coped with life and emotions I found it all way too overwhelming! Well it is isn..t it! So then I guess I started doing what I still do today with my songs which is using them to process and try and make sense of my life experiences and my emotions and also those of the people around me. I use them as well to capture a moment or to share a moment, experience or feeling. I like to get a dreamlike quality to my songs, I want people to listen and be moved, to lose themselves, to be taken to a different place and maybe feel some of the feeling I was trying to convey. Mostly of course I just want to share them and hope they will find some love out there........
