Thanks for checking out my music page here on Myspace . My name is Heather-Jane and I am from Croydon which is south of London. I have been involved with art, poetry and music in some form for most of my life. I have also worked in music promotion, gig and event organising. I play guitar, write the songs and sing them! I recorded The Strawberry Sessions with Producer Roger Fife (Cyndi Lauper, Anthony and The Johnsons, The Orphans) in London during strawberry season. I now have my own studio set up and am working with a selection of talented music producer/dj/remixer friends from London and the surrounding area working on my new songs and collaborations. As well as writing and singing my own songs, I want to continue with my collaborations and would be really interested in honing my songwriting skills and expanding to write for other people. -

This is the myspace music page for Croydon based singer/songwriter Heather-Jane who also records as Strobegirl. Heather worked with with NY and London based producer Roger Fife (Cyndi Lauper, Anthony and The Johnsons, The Orphans,) in London to produce her ep The Strawberry Sessions which comprises 6 tracks, 5 studio and one live track. Blending influences that include, rock, pop, indie, folk, electro and classical into diverse tracks that take you from dreamy pop to pure melancholia. Heather was a featured artist on reverbnation and won indie artist of the year on Somojo radio (www.somojo.net) Heather now has her own studio set up and is working with various producers and fellow musicians. The track Honey Boy was new for the Summer of 2011 and the track Trophy Girlfriend was the 2012 release. All Heather’s downloads are available from www.strobegirl.bandcamp.com. As well as solo work Heather became an official member of UK Industrial band Illustrial and featured on their release Glitter and Twisted. Glitter and twisted has been re released for 2013 and will shortly be available for download. Heather’s new track “Pulling Me Under” was released in May 2013 and can be streamed on her soundcloud and reverbnation pages and downloaded from her bandcamp page. This track will be followed up by the release of and ep entitled “How are You?” produced by Croydon remixer/producer D’Jaly. The title track How Are You? Will be a joint release and feature on all of Heather’s pages.
