Bio
Strong Arm Salesmen began in 2010, although Chris Hockaday and Joe Anderson were toying with the project months prior to the completion of the lineup, and Chris had been writing music for the project since early 2009. S.A.S. has a unique eclectic sound comprised of technical rhythms, driving riffs, and vocal harmonies that lend themselves to hyper mind space vacations! S.A.S. is also a collection of artists with a lot of experience from previous well known bands from the NC scene, as well as many other projects, and have played shows all up and down the east coast. Vocalist Joe Anderson is formerly of 'Swarm Theory', 'Soundlab', 'Baracus', and many others. He is also currently a member of 'the Basics'. Guitarist Chris Hockaday and Bassist Brandon Hockaday are both formerly of 'Tramping Ground', as well as many other projects. Chris Hockaday also formerly owned and ran 'Green Room Studios', worked at 'Sonic Wave Studios', and currently produces and engineers all of S.A.S.'s recordings. Last and certainly not least, Drummer Matt White was formerly of 'Worse Than Birth' and 'Red Sun'. Collectively they have all shared the stage with such national acts as 'Mushroomhead', 'Green Jelly', 'Straight Line Stitch', 'Hollywood Undead', 'Wolfpac'(Former members of Bloodhound Gang), 'Allele'(Former members of Cold), and Tantric. S.A.S. is a volcanic hotbed with tectonic shifts happening regularly at venues all around NC. -

'Hilander' (and its accompanying instrumentals) are the lab results returned when two artists separated by the sea but not digitally are fused together and lurch forward to destroy your preconceptions of where Hip Hop belongs and where you think Electronic music is supposed to be heading.
PS. Sorry if you received this twice, Myspace seems to duplicate comments at times. x
