WE ARE SURVIVORS OURSELVES AND HAVE BEEN CHOSEN TO ADVOCATE FOR THOSE THAT GOD SENDS US TO MINISTER TO. WE ARE TRULY BLESSED AND HIGHLY FAVORED. WHEN SOMEONE IS STRUGGLING WITH THEIR EVERYDAY LIVES OF LIVING IN AN ABUSIVE RELATIONSHIP, IT IS NOT JUST THEIR BODY AND HEART BATTERED. IT IS THEIR SPIRIT AS WELL. WE HAVE ANSWERED THE CALL TO MINISTER HEALING TO ALL THAT IS BATTERED. EVEN IF THE ABUSE HAPPENED IN CHILDHOOD, THE WOUNDS AND SCARS MAY STILL EXIST. WE WANT SO MUCH TO SHARE GOD'S LOVE AND HEALING TO THOSE THAT SOCIETY HAS FOUND THAT IT IS EASIER TO IGNORE. OR EVEN MORE SADLY, BLAMES THE VICTIMS FOR THEIR OWN ABUSE WE ARE NON-JUDGEMENTAL. WE KNOW EXACTLY WHAT IT FEELS LIKE. THE SHAME, THE GUILT AND MOST OF ALL THE FEAR. BUT WE HAVE A REDEEMER. WE HAVE A SAVIOR THAT SUFFERED THE GREATEST ABUSE THAT MANKIND COULD INFLICT ON ANOTHER. A SAVIOR WHO WAS SINLESS. A SAVIOR WHO WAS COMPASSIONATE. A SAVIOR WHO WAS CRUCIFIED AND PAID THE PRICE OF OUR GUILT AND SHAME AND FEAR. A SAVIOR WHO PAID IT ALL. JESUS TELLS US HIMSELF: MATTHEW CHAPTER 11 VERSES 28-30 28: COME UNTO ME, ALL YE THAT LABOUR AND ARE HEAVY LADEN, AND I WILL GIVE YOU REST. 29: TAKE MY YOKE UPON YOU, AND LEARN OF ME; FOR I AM MEEK AND LOWLY IN HEART: AND YE SHALL FIND REST UNTO YOUR SOULS. 30: FOR MY YOKE IS EASY, AND MY BURDEN IS LIGHTWho I'd like to meet:

I believe that real strength comes in making the decision to allow ourselves to heal and to do what we can to rebuild a new life for ourselves as we say goodbye to the past. It takes not only strength but also a lot of courage to get out there and start all over as we piece together the missing parts of our lives and put our hearts back together. Sometimes we have to learn when to hold on and when to let go as we move forward with our lives. There are times where it is better to surrender than to keep fighting but that doesn't mean we are weak when we choose to surrender. It simply means we are smart enough to know that we must take care of ourselves first and make sure we do what is best for us.

Always surround yourself with positive people who will appreciate all that you are, who will help you to grow more as a person, who will love you for you and not expect you to be someone else, and who will make you want to get out there and better your life. Be around those who believe in you and have faith in you as they encourage you to go for your dreams and goals where you don't have to sacrifice them for anyone else. I believe that the types of people we hang out with have an influence on the attitude and outlook we have in our own lives. So leave the negative ones behind who are holding you back and hang around those who lift you up. They're the ones who will bring the sunshine back into your life and walk with you down life's road as they stand by you during the storms.
