AN INTRODUCTION
Strong Truths is an art, collective consisting of artists, writers, poets, visual artists and photographers. We join our work together to create collaborative artistic literature books full of each contributors work.
The purpose is to show the talent of youths expression of who they are to those that do not recognize their talent, they seem to go unnoticed. Youth’s voices are quieted because of their age and because in our society lets face it youths are neglected, forgotten even. We are here to change that and in turn allowing the growth of the Strong Truths Community and through that we aim to help youths feel that art can heal them, and yet is just as powerful to others as it is to them.
Strong Truths is exactly the word, the strong brutal truths of life, however from youths points of view and their beliefs. It is the truths of what we see through our eyes, how we feel about life and the world around us. It is everything that is never said or spoken of or what others care or dare to know.
I believe in the unknown, a beauty yet to be captured, and that to me is a true art. It is hard to say what you truly feel or show who you truly are to those who are directly in front of you. So what are the truths of all of us, all that cannot be said, who we really are?
