Based in Portland, Oregon, as of summer 2008, Demian Rufus [real name and composer name, Mike Richard] is an experi-mental composer, a PostIndie-militant-PostIndustrial-bedroom-neofolk-synth-powerplop keyboardist and vo-killist creating text[e]-based songs and compositions. Demian werks as an independent researcher, undisciplined critical and clinical theorist, an image-music-text[e]-theatre-Re-Writer, and neo-proletariat dreamer. He studied with Michael Pisaro at California Institute of the Arts where he received a BFA in Composition in 2005.
