About STOP the SILENCE!

It has always been like that: classical music for the rest of the world - fashionable novelty for Russia.
The main tradition of russian melomaniacs is to be late. "STOP the SILENCE!" is the first nail in the body of russian music industry routine, top-heavy with hieratic and acknowledged, but absolutely blind in its ability to look into the future.
Since 2001 "StS!" has managed to compile an illustrative representation of today's music, holding on to the geographical borders of Russia, with the help of the most free-swinging ambassadors of independent stage.
Now that the festival widened its borders to the international level, this representation becomes full and vivid as never before.
