Bio
.. ...... Julia DeConcini and Benjamin Ford-Sala created their first song together ("O") in August 2008 at the Waterwitch Catherdral on Steamboat Island, a tiny island floating in the Puget Sound. Benjamin had just returned from a music tour via bicycle of Western Washington and both were preparing for journeys down the West Coast and beyond. Fate, desire, or just plain love stepped in and six months later, the two were living together in a small studio in downtown Olympia, exploring the great joy of singing together. Before they knew it, they had an album recorded of homemade handcrafted epic lullabies, multifaceted songs about nature, love, losing consciousness and rewakening, death and birth, whiskey, sunlight, and the wind. The positive response they have gotten from others and their love for the open road and the desire to meet some more magical people and enchanted places has them planning for a tour of half of the United States this summer. .... Benjamin also thinks it feels rather akward writing about ourselves in the third person, but Julia thinks it makes a more clear narrative that way. .. .. .. -
