Sorry, I haven't been in touch with you for ages. How is it going with your gigs?

If you happen to be around, I would like to invite you to our live gig on the 30th June at The Old Queen's Head in Angel, 8pm.
I am really looking forward to perform with the hammered dulcimer and tabla live on stage.
Would be great to see you there!
Much love,

what? the folk!

May 2 2008 3:56 PM

Solid Earth and what? the folk present: beats, roots and leaves, an eight hour charity session of musical goodness at Manchester’s best pub in nearly the countryside: Jackson’s Boat in Sale Water Park. All proceeds to MSF in Darfur.

The line-up is all the aces too, we have:

Josephine Oniyama

’a precious new song writing talent’ said Time Out, bloomin marvellous say we. Have a listen for yourself at: http://www.joniyama.com

John Fairhurst

This man does remarkable things with guitars and other things with strings, check out: ‘joys of spring,’ out now on Humblesoul. http://www.myspace.com/johnfairhurst

Dan Melrose

Finger picking folk and blues with that gravelly twang of Americana, hear more here: http://www.myspace.com/danmelrose

The Caulbearers

Single Cell Records present their latest project: a 10-piece space dub jazz outfit or somesuch business...

DJs

Jon Hopkins

A recent addition to the fence collective, Jon’s DJ sets are a thing of legend, his studio stuff is pretty great as well. he’s worked with James Yorkston and Brian Eno and you may have heard him ragging the place at the Green Man and Big Chill, if not, find out more at http://www.jonhopkins.co.uk

Chris Long and Helen Sarah Vaughan
What? The Folk residents

Lazy Susan and Ken Evil
Stumblefunk Soundsystem

It’s May, the perfect month for a doo in a marquee surrounded by trees. If it rains, don’t fret, we’ll be inside instead. Jackson’s Boat will be serving proper ales and food so make an evening of it, bring some warm clothes now.

Powered by Stumblefunk and supported by The Lowry

Thanks very much for your precious time and the request, Stuart!
I'm glad you enjoyed listening to Wild Fires. Your words warm my heart, it's a pleasure to hear that the music makes an impact on others. I create for others...
The lyrics and more info about the song can be found in my blog.
Anyway, I put a new song on my site; it's called Lost and Found. It's an intercontinental co-creation with a Brazilian friend of mine.(more in the latest blog post)

Jan 14 2008 7:50 AM

yes so
dont knwo if it makes sense or not
maybe some films from the 301S AS WELL
but here you are:
"lovagias ügy" -"gentleman case" or something
Lila Ákác - i cant translate this one:D
Címzett ismeretlen - all of these are great kind of funny, and also gives back the feelings of that period in Hungary i think so, but i dont knwo how this feels for soembody whos not hungarian, well maybe still can be interesting. I didnt see them live, and anyway quite irritating that every bad stops by Wien,
how can i get some songs of you anyway ?
"watching the tv, trying hard to find a reason to move
i'm frozen in one place, staring at the screen
listening to the rain falling on the street
some days go on too long
and no one can hang out tonight
here, where the carpet is cool and soft,
underneath the clock i feel my weary heart is put to rest
you gather around your friends"
im listening to bright eyes, when so many things are to be done:)
Zake care Stuart
