Music
alot of people say that they like "all kids of music".. well. I don't. I like brit pop pretty well, and 70's glitter rock. I don't really care for hip hop or rap metal... Recently I've been liking Disco more and more.. Baccara is super cool! some of my fav.
Though it's not music, I really enjoy listening to dirty 1970's comedy records. Richard Pryor has probably never made a funny movie, and that's too bad, cause his records are great!
Movies
This is the hardest for me to answer, as I really don't like the mechanics of story telling in movies. I feel very detached from movies. When I read a book im taking an active part in receiving the information... with a movie I just sit there and the thing plays. If I leave the room, the movie keeps going.
Having said that I want my movies to be really really good... or really really bad! A movie that I like that falls somewhere in between that you might have heard of is "Used Cars". -Told ya!
Television
I probably have less interest in television than movies... I will eat as I watch this crazy political show on PBS called "The Mclaughlin Group"... I like it alot, But am usually asleep sunday morningings...
One time my best friend and I drew all over a t.v and set it up as part of a stuffed animal t-party on a friend's back porch as a prank... He's sorta a tuff guy and hated it... It was the most fun that I've had with a t.v. ever!
Books
John Berger's "Ways of Seeing" is great... It's all about the invention of the concept of "glamour" and it's use in seperation of class! Go buy it.. it's an always-in-print penguin paperback!
In the world of comics my favorite new-er title is Jason Youngbluth's "Deep Fried"... When it comes to older comics I enjoy 1970's "Brave and the Bold"

About me: I'm a professional illustrator who works primarily in the comic book industry. I create the comic book SHIVER IN THE DARK ( www.shiverinthedark.com )as well as illustrate the BIONICLE comic book for DC based on the Lego toy line. I also produce alot of art for the UPPERDECK card game "VS". I enjoy just about any 2-D art. Can you draw..? Will you try..? I'm most interested in 20th century Illustration... But i also like alot of the old masters ( I like Henry Fuscelli very well... but Anthony Van Dyke is my fav!)
I've got a lot of energy and want to DO things... NOT watch them! I prefer paper over plastic... airhockey over skeeball. I think that everyone looks sexy trying to do math. I have only glass dinking glasses in the house. (never plastic)
Movies really aren't my thing. I'd much rather DO something than WATCH something. I'm also much more entertained when I can use my imagination a bit to fill in the pieces. Movies are too literal.. to matter of fact... Where is the wonder!?
I like music a little bit more... But if your band sounds good, but just stands there in dirty t-shirts I'm not going to be interested. GIMME A SHOW!!! Speaking of which...
I like fashion a lot and just cant get enough of late 70's early 80's Levis' "Movin On" brushed cotton pants! I really think that square-toed men's shoes look stupid... Who had the dumb idea of putting tennis-shoe bottoms on dress shoes...? Those people are stupid.
if you like art, and illustration, check out Charles keeping! He's an English painter who made children's books. Great characters, extremely unique color sense, and very very powerful.. the 60's couldn't have happened without him!

sorry I haven't written in a while man ( I 've been swamped ) I thought I was going to get to do some big projects before I got commissions but at my local school and and friends have been commissioning me all this time I'll send some pics soon . can't wait to see you at the big comic con this july man !
