Student Book's Blurbs |
About me:
Leaving school and choosing the route to take afterwards is a very difficult time. There are a lot of things to consider. Sitting A level exams and planning your future is a very stressful combination.Student Book makes the process of university selection for prospective students much easier.
Student Book realise that it is not quite enough to choose your institution and home for three years based on university league tables. The website has created a search engine that allows comparison of all universities over a wide range of factors, for instance; how many ucas points achieved, the size of the university, region, cost of living and job prospects, which universities spend the most on provisions for their students, the cost of a pint, drop-out rates, the gender split and the percentage of state school intake.
With a head full of revision and all the rest of things crammed into a students mind, anything to help with organisation and reminders of important dates is very handy. On Student Book , the user can create a shortlist of universities he or she likes after running a search and checking out the institution profile. Notes can be added and edited to the shortlist at any time.
Not only is Student Book great for alleviating the stress of applying to uni, it is also the best point of call for help and advice on the issues that follow once you have been accepted, or if you have not. It gives advice on gap years, clearing, being a mature student and if you have any special needs. There is also guidence on all aspects of university life, for instance; financial help, accommodation, relationships, study skills, health, welfare, the list goes on.
So it really is worth using www.studentbook.org - it takes the headache out of going to university, but it can't help with the headache you'll have after freshers week!
