Join us on October 27th, 2007 in protest of the Iraq War and the other wars these politicians are wanting to start!

Lake Eola Park -- Downtown Orlando, FL-- 12:30pm

11 Massive Demonstrations for Peace
Orlando, Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, New York, Philadelphia, Salt Lake City, San Francisco, Seattle —
more soon to be announced!

The vast majority of the people in every corner of the country want this war to end, but Washington has failed to take decisive action. With each passing month, nearly 100 servicepeople and countless more Iraqis are killed, some 12 billion of our tax dollars are spent, and the death and destruction continue. Our communities -- from New Orleans to Minneapolis -- are neglected and suffer the consequences. From Vermont to California, from Florida to Wisconsin, the people have spoken: We want this war to end, and we want it to end now!

On Saturday, October 27th, people from all walks of life will gather at 10 sites around the country for massive regional demonstrations. This nationally coordinated day of outcry against the war in Iraq was initiated by United for Peace and Justice, the nation's largest grassroots antiwar coalition. And now many groups and organizations across the country are working on the October 27th mobilization.

CALL YOUR REPRESENTATIVE AND SENATORS (find the numbers at www.house.gov and www.senate.gov) AND ASK THEIR SECRETARIES TO TELL THEM THAT YOU

"WOULD LIKE THE CONGRESSMAN (OR SENATOR) TO SUPPORT AMERICAN DEMOCRACY BY VOTING YES ON THE Voter Confidence and Increased Accessability Act of 2007!!!!!"

DO IT AND HAVE YOUR FRIENDS AND FAMILY DO IT TOO!! BE RESPECTFULL, BUT KNOW THAT IT ONLY TAKES ABOUT 10 SECONDS!!!

YOUR VOICE COULD MAKE THE DIFFERENCE!!! JUST TRY!!!!!!!!!!!!

link to the full-text bill if u want to read it for yourself, but the major changes it makes are listed below (i think this is the most updated version of it):

http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/query/F?c110:2:./temp/~c11085XcuJ:e0:

IF YOU DONT BELIEVE THERE'S A PROBLEM WITH THESE VOTING MACHINES AND THAT THE PAST TWO ELECTIONS WERE NOT STOLEN, THEN WRITE ME AND I'LL LET U KNOW THE TRUTH (with my facts from my research)! BUSH IS NOT OUR TRUE PRESIDENT, NEVER WAS, SO IMPEACHING WILL BE EASIER EH?

BUT IT DOESNT MATTER IF WE "GET OUT THE VOTE" IF THE VOTE DONT MEAN SHIT!!!! THIS MUST COME BEFORE DEBATES OF HILARY VS OBAMA!

Ban paperless voting

“Congress must ban paperless voting in time for the election. As voters, we support Rep. Rush Holt’s paper ballots bill.”

Too many voters are still stuck with paperless electronic voting machines—machines that are vulnerable to tampering and malfunction.

A new bill in Congress would ban paperless voting. It’s got enough support to pass, but time is short. This week, the Democratic leadership is deciding what Congress will take up next. If they don’t put voting reform on the agenda, there simply won’t be time to make the change by the 2008 presidential election.

Sign this petition to ask the Democratic leaders in Congress to ban paperless voting before it’s too late. The full text of the petition is: “Congress must ban paperless voting in time for the 2008 election. As voters, we support Rep. Rush Holt’s p

Three high school students protested the Vietnam War by wearing black bandanas on their arms and not speaking for a whole day, so on October 19 I've been pushin people to do the same, please get it started in your school if you believe in putting an end to the Iraq war. Hope you all join me in this it would mean the world to me. Pass this on to as many people as you can.

Awakening Tuesday to our world falling apart
I cannot conceive all this hatred existing in someone's heart
Wondering now if our world can ever be at peace
I'm crying now all our sadness it never seems to cease

Can't we all come together
Not as separate people who have separate destinations
But as one human race in total unification
Can't we all come together

Going to sleep now I'm thinking how all this can really be
Our world it makes no sense to me
Dreaming of peace is the only way I can make it through
Until tomorrow I'll be singing I hope this is not true

Can't we all come together
Not as separate people who have separate destinations
But as one human race in total unification
Can't we all come together

"HOW LONG IS IT GOING TO TAKE FOR JUST A TOUCH OF HUMANITY, AND TO FREE OURSELVES FROM THIS INSANITY." This line from my new song "Where Do I Begin" is meant to encourage us all to think about what we can do to bring about Peace and Justice. Please go to my page and give it a listen, and if you like it, spread the word to your friends.

ANTI-WAR

Aug 13 2007 8:02 AM

Upon the mere mention of today’s government and governmental leaders, a strong feeling of dislike and utter disbelief is brought to my mind. The government has been feeding us lies for to long. Broken promises and sheer disregard for the well-being of America, have put us where we are today. The American flag that was honorably fought for, o so long ago, is now soaked in the blood of thousands of American lives sent to fight in a war based upon lies and greed. Hate for our country boils deep in the veins of America's youth today. As one of these youth, I ask you now, Is this the way we want our country to be run in the future? The thing is that we are the future of this bloodstained country. And to shape this future we have to start now. We have to DARE TO BE DIFFERENT. And swim against the flow. We have to see through the lies, and find what is true and what is real. We have to stop the SENSELESS KILLING in the middle east and focus on the problems at home before we worry about other countries. We have to know the fact so that when we are asked by the adults what we think we can tell them what we think, who we are and what we stand for. We will tell them we will NOT STOP FIGHTING. The more we fight the system the more we win. Call us hippies, and punks. We don’t care. We dare to be different. We are not fighting for today. We are fighting foe a future America, a peaceful America. We are American youth and yes, we are ANTI-WAR. We want no blood on our flag. We are ONE and you cannot stop us.

President approved far-reaching program

Bush lied about extent of domestic spying

House Resolution 333 has to get through this committee before it can be voted on in the House.

President George W. Bush, in the wake of the 9/11 terrorist attacks, approved a vast domestic spying operation that went far beyond just using the National Security Agency to snoop into the private lives of Americans.
In an executive order signed by Bush in 2001, the efforts of all of America's extensive intelligence communities were turned inwards, monitoring the day-to-day activities on U.S. citizens on a level that rival's Russian’s famed KGB.
And, as with most activities of the Bush administration, most of the details of the domestic spying operation remain secret, hidden behind the cloak of "national security." When Bush previously admitted the NSA's role in domestic spying he was, as usual, telling only part of the real story.

The Bush administration's chief intelligence official said yesterday that President Bush authorized a series of secret surveillance activities under a single executive order in late 2001. The disclosure makes clear that a controversial National Security Agency program was part of a much broader operation than the president previously described.
The disclosure by Mike McConnell, the director of national intelligence, appears to be the first time that the administration has publicly acknowledged that Bush's order included undisclosed activities beyond the warrant less su
