"Imagination is more important than Knowledge"

The creative arts are an important part of our lives. It is what makes us human. To live and work in the presence of art is both a privilege and a necessity. Visual art delights both our hearts and our minds with its beauty, intrigue, stories and wonder. Fine art enriches us, while inspiring us to become better people.

Last Tuesday (June 19th,2009)I was part of the event “Subcutáneo, actions under the city’s skin” with my performance called PING SPLASH at vitrines of Pino Suárez subway station in Mexico City.

The piece consisted in bouncing a rubber ball soaked with paint for about 6-7 hours. Every time I launched the ball I screamed but the sound was generated from my stomach giving strength to the launch. The concept was to bring my body into a physical and mental extreme with a repetitive action for a long period and the goal was to paint all over the vitrine’s walls and windows with the results of random rebounds and splashed paint in every pitch.

    After this I’m TherezaPollock (ahaha!)
    Kisses & hugs…

    Hey there,

    Here's one from left field...

Ever wondered what to do in the event of a nuclear threat?

A while ago I found stuff that inspired me to make this film:

Living Under the Shadow of the Nuclear Umbrella

Both artistic (ensure you get the background music!) and educational, it primarily comprises official British government civil defence advice.

Though source materials are quite aged, much remains relevant today.

I encourage all to visit the YouTube page to learn more (Show support! Rate! Comment!) and responsibly circulate as widely as possible, here:

    Help to raise awareness.

Say have you checked out my web site recently?

Take care and keep in touch.

    Best,
    Faber.
