Anastasios Papanagiotou was born in Athens, Greece, 1982. From his early childhood he has been drawing, developing an early talent. Since then, he has completed a wide range of studies on Art & Design, which include an International Baccalaureate Art course (2 years, grade 7/7), BTEC Foundation in Art & Design (Surrey Institute of Art & Design - incl. Fine Art, photography, sculpture studies, 3d construction), BA of Hons in Graphic Design (1 year Surrey Institute of Art & Design, 2 years Vakalo School) and a Masters in Visual Communication (1 year Vakalo School - diploma module on "music promotion" (music identity, visual communication), also: Cultural History, Social studies and new Media).
Anastasios is a freelance illustrator/graphic designer since 2004. In May 2006 he gets picked from Fortune advertising company as a Junior Art Director and within 1 week he wins 3d Distinction award in T.G.I. Friday's "Young Creatives", an annual advertising competition, with his ad and web banner on environmental global warming phenomenon (client: Greenpeace). Other work by Anastasios for Fortune included the Rockwave Festival 2006 poster.
During August 2006, he designs the identity package for rock fashion shop "Black N' Rose" and develops the overall interior esthetics and concept. He also works on a series of posters and flyers for Greek Guns N' Roses Fan Club (www.gunsnroses.gr), for the official promotion of the Guns N' Roses Greek gig.
Anastasios has been involved in many fields in music promotion since 2001 (organisation of concerts and music-related events). He is also the founder of Athens based hard rock/glam rock Dj team "Kids of the Underground" for which he organises a montly rock event entitled "THE STRIP" at TEXAS club, Athens which includes live band performances, dj sets, performances by go go dancers and video projections. He is also a founding member of "Friday's Angels" rock band , for which he also develops the visual part and aesthetics. Anastasios uses Adobe Photoshop CS, Adobe Illustrator CS, Quark Xpress, Macromedia Dreamweaver with an original, more traditional approach and Media, to problem-solving tasks. Currently he works as a Junior Art Director for IMAKO.
