Biography:
Hey, my name is Mat Halliday and I am the producer/engineer at Minx Recording Studio.
I have been playing and performing music since the age of 7. I've spent time performing, studying at various music schools, and touring/recording with local rock acts for many years (Before I Go, Half the Battle, The Jacets). I started Minx in 2003 as a creative outlet and also to be able to produce high-quality demo's and CD's for my own projects. Minx has since grown into a fully equipped and professional recording studio offering a full range of services to fit any projects needs. My goal when taking on a project is to put out the best product possible and offering a very relaxed environment to do it in. I run a small operation out of my house but have spent many years fine tuning my craft and collecting the best equipment possible. This is something that I care a lot about doing and I consider every project that I work on to be a privilege. I hope you'll enjoy the samples of my work and considering doing your next recording at Minx.

Go to this page and listen to "Symphony: Part 1" I just composed this only two days ago and recorded it all of yesterday so I feel it still needs some work put into it but give it a listen. It's only a verrry small part in this giant composition!
Things are goooood! I'm actually in the middle of composing and recording a demo of a very very smalllll piece of a symphony I'm writing! I'll get it to you so you can hear! And thanks a lot for the book suggestions, I will get right on buying it.
As for this band (I should probably be talking to you on my personal myspace hahah), everything is going pretty well! We've played a couple good shows and we're just trying to raise money now :)
Hopefully we can set something up soon, I'm very anxious to record something new!
Hey, I have a favor to ask of you, can you tell me all of those books you used to educate yourself about engineering? I think they would really help me out!
Hey Mat! The singer search is going pretty slow unfortunately. We've had a few bites but we don't want to settle with someone unless they're just right. If you come across anyone who might be interested let us know. Hows everything going at the studio? We're hoping we can get back in soon.

Hey Mat it's Brad, I know this is so long overdue but if you still wanted to through a song of ours on your page (although I fully understand if you are bored of it by now) then you can now at this time do so. We are still waiting on our artist to get it done but in respects to the web designer Trey I don't blame him. He's currently in Cali recording an album with Take Notice.
Anyhow, I was just stopping in to let you know that you could do that because everybody is sick of waiting.
