With all five members born and raised in Columbus Ohio, Study of Revenge embodies the brutal Hardcore/Metal sound that is currently erupting in the Mid-West. Beginning in early 2005, the band quickly abandoned a somewhat lighter sound, incorporating sung hooks and catchy melodies mixed with chunky breakdowns, for an all out merciless attack on the senses. While Study of Revenge still blends in experimental moments of Jazz and Funk, it can never be said that this is a "radio friendly" band. Currently Study of Revenge is seeking to join the numerous bands from the surrounding area being signed to major and indie record labels.
