Stu James is a native of the ATL. The fourth son of Wilson and Shirley, the youngest brother of Billy, Tony, and Chris and the older brother to Joye! LOL! He's been singing since the age of 7. He was a member of The World Renoun Atlanta Boy Choir and later on a Member of the Morehouse College Glee Club. He has always loved music....he says, "it soothes and heals the soul..this one universal language...Thank you GOD for it!!!"
He is starring in Oprah Winfrey's "The Color Purple" as Harpo in Chicago, San Franscisco and Los Angeles. He has performed in the Broadway Musical RENT (Benny, the landlord), Off Broadway in Barnstormer (Charles) and performed in lots of regional theatre as well. You can look out for him on General Hospital and the D.K. Holmes/Mandalay feature film "Burning Sands" (2009). He can also be seen in "Dreamgirls" the film (Director's cut) and "Downtown A Street Tale" with Genevieve Bujold, Joey Dedios, Chad Allen, Dominica Scorsecee and Burt Young.
Currently he lives in Los Angeles. Here he is focusing more on writing his original music and developing his Film and Television experiences!!!
