Stu Kinzel has been a NW mainstay as guitarist and vocalist since 1976. He has been recording and mastering other artists during 2007-2010 and is well known in the Portland OR area for fine recordings and back-up instrumental and vocal ability. Kinzel is a multi-award winner and perennial nominee as lead vocalist, guitarist, back-up musicain and songwriter. Stu Kinzel is a well respected Blues performer, with countless premiere events and festivals as well as recordings to his credit. He continues to record and perform with long-time partner LynnAnn Hyde and AC Porter's "Big Noise", and he is a trusted purveyor of fine string instruments and vintage amplifiers. Kinzel also teaches guitar and music theory. LynnAnn Hyde is a Hohner Harmonicas and Baldoni Accordions Artist Endorser. She writes songs and plays diatonic harmonica, chromatic harmonica, button-box and piano as a self-taught musician. Hyde is a multi-award winning artist with hundreds of live shows and recordings to her credit. Her stage career began as a stand-up comic in the San Diego area and she often incorporates story-telling and comedy into the act. LynnAnn Hyde teaches harmonica and button-box. Kinzel & Hyde have recorded 4 self-produced CD's featuring original music and some unique adaptations, with their 2002 release "Oklahoma Credit Card" garnering local, national and international acclaim and air. They have been featured on 7 NW Blues compilations, including the Water Front Blues Festival "Official Year of the Blues" CD from Allegro Records. Kinzel & Hyde have been honored with reviews and full-length features from outstanding Blues/Roots publications in the US and Europe, as well as endorsement from national performing artists including RUTH BROWN, JERRY MCCAIN, PAUL DELAY and ARTHER ADAMS among others. Both Stu Kinzel and LynnAnn Hyde play, sing, and record their own songs from home studio.
