The Stumblebum Brass Band is an incendiary force on the New York City music scene. Even though the band has deep respect and admiration for the art of both Louis Armstrong and Nirvana; the Stumblebums reject nostalgia in favor of riotous spontaneity.
This is evidenced by the rapid-fire yet guttural vocalizations of frontman Smidge Malone who is also a ferocious trumpet player. His horn lines convey the entire canvas of human emotion which leaves audiences everywhere amazed. The basslines are dutifully carried out by Jesse Wildcards whose tuba playing displays a razor sharp accuracy as well as a playful raunchiness. The Stumblebums final but in some ways most important member is the erstwhile drummer Jonny Ballz whose service is indispensable due to his charming rambunctiousness.
The Stumblebum Brass Band has performed on many stages including the Music Hall of Williamsburg, World Cafe, Highline Ballroom, Mercury Lounge, The Box, Hiro Ballroom, Living Theatre, Shea Stadium, Joe's Pub and the Hammerstein Ballroom. They have supported many artists including The Roots, The Black Lips, Jim Rose and Ween.

Pictures from the Living Theatre show earlier this month.
The show was amazing. According to this page it looks like you're going down south for a bit, but if you guys are playing anywhere around NYC, I would love to see you guys play again and shoot some more pictures. Also, I can give you a disc of pictures from the Living Theatre show. You can get in touch with me through here; I'll try giving you guys a call too, if I don't hear from you.
Stumblebum Brass Band cured my cancer, removed my stains, solved my "going" problem, saved my thinning hair, and made me nicer to be around. Thanks, Stumblebum Brass Band!
