ATM LINCOLN	May 19 2008 4:00 AM Lincoln Workshops in half term. FREE MUSIC WORKSHOPS ON 29th – 30th MAY 2008. Access To Music (ATM) Lincoln are offering free workshops in the half term break. These courses will be in 3 key areas; Performance, Sequencing and Recording. All courses will be held at the high spec ATM Center, Clasketgate, Lincoln. Professionals who are actively working in the music industry will run all courses. These courses will available to 14years and above, Performance Workshop: The performance workshop will focus on instrumentalists (Guitar, Bass, Drums, Vocals, and Keyboards). Areas to be covered will be; working best on your instrument and working within a band to create a song. All learners will leave with a CD of the song they have played on. Sequencing: The Sequencing workshop will be lead by Tommie Wincott who has had 25 professional releases and is currently working with some of the biggest record labels in Drum n Bass. These workshops will focus on using Logic to create a short piece of original music. Learners will leave with a copy of their music. Recording: The Recording workshop will be lead by Sean South who is currently being played on Radio 1 with his band ZedCopter. Sean has recorded many genres from classical to death metal with over 20 years experience. These workshops will focus on the running of a professional recording studio whilst recording a band and mixing the recordings. Learners will leave with a copy of the song that they recorded. The Moor Music Festival	Jan 20 2008 11:41 AM It seems like years since the last Moorfest happened and to be honest I think the weather was very much a factor in whether people enjoyed themselves or not. Some thrived in the mud whilst others wept until their dads could pick them up. Moorfest is still carving an identity for itself and in the three years that it has been established I think I can say that the one thing that most people love about it is the friendly atmosphere, and this gig is a good opportunity to meet up with friends that perhaps you haven't seen since the festival, to make new friends, enjoy quality music, get a flavour of Moorfest if you haven't already been and also to talk to the organisers in order to give your opinions on how to improve the festival. KLEZMA TRIP - Are simply an awesome live band. Featuring the amazing musicians that are Giuliano Modarelli, Bill Laurance, Sam Hobbs and Joe these guys had a packed Brudenell dancing all night to infectious eastern grooves which blends aspects of funk, jazz, reggae and indian music into a medicine which you just want spoon after spoon of. They're always getting better, bigger and probably older too.
