About me: Greg, Peter and Eric get together and talk about stuttering and life. We have fun, laugh, argue and agree, talk about the stuttering world, music, movies, and our wives and girlfriends. We try and make sense of the whole stuttering thing by talking about it. Tune in and join the conversation by leaving us a message at 206-888-4619 or send an email to stuttertalk@stuttertalk.com.

Hey guys! I've stuttered since the age of 5 (severely for 9 yrs)and have met less than 5 stutterers in my life and NONE as severe as I am. It's nice to be able to listen to your shows. Keep it up--it's nice to have the support!!
My fiance has stuttered since he was little. Up till now noone but me has bothered to help him. He is just now acepting my help. Thanks for the support
Have stuttered since I was little. Teased in school, it sucked.
Now just have a nervous stutter for the most part, but for whatever reason lately I can not get through a sentence without stuttering. Not sure why. Maybe I am a little more anxious/nervous then normal. Hasn't been this bad, since I was real little. Hopefully it will diminish.
I rule in other ways though. And so do other stutters. Just ran a 5k=18:03 was my finishing time. 1st place in my age bracket, 4th overall
Wow! The stutterer community is so much stronger than here in Russia!
Let me start with some info about me. I’m from Moscow (Russia), half German and half Russian and speak fluently Russian, German and English. This July I’ll be improving my English in a New York-based language center. I have tried different therapies to reduce my stuttering, they all worked in some way, but I am still stuttering. My stammering is not severe and I am absolutely sure that in the next few years I’ll reduce it to such a minimum that probably only I will know that I have a speech problem =) Who knows, maybe I’ll find something in NY; NSA and SpeachEasy seem interesting to me.
Enough talking about myself =)) If you are a stutterer and interested in getting to know a bilingual stutterer from Russia - go ahead, add me to your friends or write me. We could do a lot in NY; I won’t be a burden because I have a place to stay and some family friends in the Big Apple. I'm really interested in getting to know you!
I'm 37 years old and I've been stuttering since I was 5....I'm glad there's other people out there who can relate and share their stories. I've done everything from hypnosis, voodoo, speech easy hearing aid, and drinking apple juice upside down. :)
Hey~ Thanks for the add. I'm 44, life-long stutterer, moderate to severe. I've been fitted with a speecheasy device and should be getting it soon. I'm excited about it, but with all the other therapies I've gone through, I will take it one day at a time.
im really glad im not alone.. i ve been stutterin since i was ab 5... no one knows what its like to stutter.. im just happy ive found others that are unique like me!:D thanks for the add
Hey, Thanks for adding me as a friend! I've from the UK and have stuttered covertly since the age of 10. Its good to be hooked up on such a network where there are so many others who understand and know what its like to stutter!!!
Thanks guys for adding me!! I have stuttered my whole life. I am in college now and am writing a research paper on stuttering. I never knew there were groups like this where stutterers can talk and not worry about their speech. I think it is great! It feels good to know that Im not alone!!!
thank you for the add. I have a great family and husband to talk about stuttering. My dad and dad in law stutter too. And I am still working on boosting my confidence. nice to meet you guys.
I've had 2 recent patients with acquired stuttering... one after closed head trauma. Second one stuttered as child but had therapy & was doing fine, now is grown and had TIA (mini-stroke) and his stuttering returned. I'm putting together HOME therapy program for them. If you have any favorite advice I'd be interested to know your perspective. :)
Recently, we submitted our group project on Stuttering to our Fluency Disorders professor and she was very impressed with our work. She recommended us to the CSU Student Research Competition in order to continue the work that we have begun and take it a step further.
We are working on our visuals right now and we want to ask your permission for us to use and copy your myspace profile pics into a short video clip that we will include in our oral presentation.
If you are willing to help us, pls message us and just let us know that it is OK for us to include your pic in our project ( just your pic, names will not be included)
hi I have another question about breathing. Do you guys breath nasally during speaking or do you inhale through the mouth then speak. Most of the fluency shaping programs and therapy programs say to use the latter. Also have you guys ever tried focusing and breathing all the time to enhance fluency?
Just wanted to say hi!! It's great that you guys made this site. I am not around other people who stutter in my daily life so this is a great place to come to when I need a boost of confidence and determination in my day. Thanks!
