Hakkımda:
I am Stuyvesant High School, nicknamed Stuy, and I am one of New York City's specialized math and science-based public high schools. Founded over 100 years ago, admission to my school is by competitive examination and tuition is free.
My tradition of excellence is evident through unprecedented results in assessments, course scholarship, awards and achievements in competitions in all areas. My reputation as a first rate college preparatory school is recognized by leading universities. The achievements of my students are remarkable. I have consistently had large numbers of National Merit Scholars, ranking me as 1st, 2nd, or 3rd in the nation. In the Intel Science Talent Search each year I have had the largest number of students in the Honors Group and in 1988 my students placed first and second in the nation, a feat never before accomplished by any school.
I am noted for my many accomplished alumni, my rigorous academics, and for sending the most students to Harvard, Yale, and Princeton of any public school in the United States. Virtually all of my graduates go on to college and an extraordinary number are accepted into the most competitive universities and colleges in the nation.
I am a superior math and science school but my students are far more than just "smart kids" -- they are talented in numerous other areas such sports, literary publications, theater, SING! and humanities. Over the past century, I have served as an overall great community for the well-rounded alpha female and male.
In a nutshell, I KICK ASS.
