I don't watch too much television and when I do its on DVD but historically theres Arrested Development, Hercules, Smallville, the Simpsons (pre-2000), the X-Files...just started the Shield...still need to watch Heroes, Firefly, Dexter, 24, Mad Men and the Wire. And Weeds is decent too...
Books
Lord of the Rings, Elfquest, Arena, the Odyssey, Of Human Bondage, the Sword of Truth series, World War Z, Youth In Revolt, All God's Children, Harry Potter, assorted David Gemmel, Jon Krakauer and Isaac Adamson, and for some reason I really enjoy crappy Conan books. I guess I read a lot of fantasy. I'll also read a good biography if I can find it. Really, I'd read anything anyone recommended to me.
I also read comic books. Superman, of course, ElfQuest, Strangers in Paradise is fantastic, Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind, Sandman, Alan Moore books, Kingdom Come...
