About me:
The Styles of Rhythm crew began in early 2004 in a small town known as South Pasadena. Originally, most of the members were part of the "Hip Hop Club" at South Pas High, but when the club closed down, some of the members decided to create their own crew--hence, Styles of Rhythm. Actually, the crew was known as "Urban Bounce Crew" (UBC) from September '03 to .. some time. UBC is dead now. Long live sorc.
Styles of Rhythm is a crew based off of b-boys that push and explore the limits of the hip hop and break scene. We are located in different areasm including South Pasadena, Pasadena, and San Diego. Each member carries his own special talent and specialities and contributes something different and new to the crew. There are no founders or leaders; each member is equal to one another.
Our Name?
People ask what our crew name means. Our interpretation is that that we all dance to one beat and one rhythm but we are all different in terms of style and dancing, because in b-boying, its all about putting in your own personality and individuality into the dance. In the crew, our moves, our style, and even the ways we dress are different, but the rhythm accepts us all.
