Everybody has a story to tell, emotions and thoughts to share with the world. I accomplish this mostly through music. Growing up music has been very much a part of my life as I have related to it in so many circumstances. Sometimes I compose for myself, but mostly I compose to try to give out what was given to me, and evoke emotions that are so often kept hidden in a dark corner.
I slowly gravitated to classical music because of the great scope of emotions that can be awoken with the power and majesty of the sound of an orchestra. The authority of music to sway emotions when coupled with motion picture influenced me to the film scoring scene where I was immediately at home. From the immensity of screaming battles to the intimacy in the stillness of a moonlit night, there is room for such a deep emotional connection with the onscreen sensations when combined with the right music.
oh yes! i've two tracks of my own and a remix i was just now propositioned with. seriously, about six hours ago...
what about you? i see you've been off of AP for almost as long as i was. is that just other obligations again, or do you have a new audience for your music?
heh, you've fallen out with your own forum? that's bad business! that place was like a shining city compared to sifon and all the ivory tower assholes there, i thought. is you not having presence something recent, or something that developed around when i stopped?
what's this that's been taking your time, too, if you don't mind my asking?
Dear friend: Thank you for your friendship. I have visited your site and have a great music, original, charming and very subtle. I look forward to hearing more songs soon. Greetings from Jose Miguel
how's everything been, Styrus? i dropped off the forum because i'd completely lost touch with music during that time. i came to think that there wasn't much a place for me in a music community if i didn't have any of my own music to offer. thinking about it now, though, i probably could've left to take time for myself in a more ceremonious manner... *shifty eyes*
so.. you are familiar with explosions in the sky? if the answer's no, I could ninja you some songs and bring them to you and matt.. it's that good. plus, it'd make a nice little apologetic sort of peace offering for being so bitingly sarcastic last time we spoke, I'll just bring the music and stay quiet *smiles a tiny bit*.. anwyay enjoy wooooorrrrkkkk..
Aw, thanks :) I do aim to listen to your music, it's just that the computer I'm using, and the one I have hooked up to noise transmitting paraphernalia happen to be different, so.. alas, all I hear is silence from this and.. I think placebo from that.. so yeah. I'm sure it's fantastical as I haven't even heard of 89.7345% of your influences..
hey thanks for your thoughts. Yes, they are my own compositions; I just fiddle with the keys and follow my ears XD . I'm still in the process of re-recording them in the studio. But, I hope to get some more up real soon.
Hey Styrus! Long time no talk. Thanks a lot for the comment man, I'm doing pretty well actually. Took up guitar a year ago and it's starting to make sense :-)
