Pre-emptive Retaliation has been a mainstay of Jnr’s
live sets for the past year. Razor sharp drums, depth
charge bass and demonic hoovers ensure this track
hits hard in all the right places.
February the 13th marks the forth in a monthly series of 13 releases by Jnr Hacksaw.
Each release is on the 13th of the month and will be bringing you fresh new Hacksaw material.
This is the first low tempo release for Jnr. Taking influences from Trip Hop, 60s psychedelia and dub. This track shows a much mellower side to Hacksaw’s production with rolling beats and tripped out sonics.

This is a challenging and filth laden conglomerate of evil bass and freeform beats. The word sick really doesn’t do this one justice! The musical equivalent of an inner city subway at the wrong time of night.
Strange Attractor click here for sample
In contrast Strange Attractor takes a safer and more well trodden route. Pounding electro beats, ultra low subs and crisp rolling sequences make this a euphoric, trippy tune. This one does some serious damage on the dancefloor with Jnr managing to keep the glitch without frying brains (too much!).
Jnr Hacksaw has been producing cutting edge electronic music for well over a decade. Jnr is signed to Trigger Recordings and is a resident at their legendary parties.
He has released a stream of original and challenging music over the past couple of years and has established himself as one of the rising stars of the Electrobreaks movement.
Jnr is a former stalwart of the UK free party scene and has been heavily involved with Bristols underground music since the early 90s when he helped found Bristol’s pioneering Big Beat night The Dig In.
Around the same time he became involved with Elektrik Orgasm one of the UKs foremost free party movements and psychedelic techno label. Under the guise of Nervasystem and Aether Lex produced a stream of futuristic releases and played gigs all over the world.
During the late 90s Lex found new inspiration and turned to the emerging Electrobreaks sound.
Jnrs innovative live sets have rocked crowds all over the planet, playing alongside Tipper, Si Begg, The Lawgiverz and many more.
His music has been featured on network TV and has received airplay on Annie Nightingales Radio 1 show and ABC’s Triple J show.
Jnr will be starting a series of monthly releases this Autumn on his label SubAtomik. As well as a high profile release on Trigger Recordings.
