Serbian-born musician/composer SUBA was about to become one of Brazil's most prominent producers when he tragically passed away in November 1999. Suba left us just a few days after the release of his now-legendary album "SAO PAULO CONFESSIONS" (probably the most inspired album of electronic music to have come out of Brazil), and shortly before the completion of Bebel Gilberto's "Tanto Tempo" album, which was graced by his outstanding production work. 3 years later, his label Ziriguiboom/Crammed and his closest musical associates (vocalists Cibelle, Taciana, Kátia B and percussionist João Parahyba, with the help of young Brazilian producers such as Apollo Nove and BiD) have prepared a tribute album (entitled "TRIBUTO") comprising new tracks, posthumous collaborations, remixes and live recordings.

Come join the celebration over the release of our new CD – Boteco!!
‘Boteco’ is an artful mixture of neo-futuristic traditional Brazilian rhythms with the right quantity of the best North American spices. It is funk and rock boiling and baking with samba, maracatu, frevo and baiao.
Put Pele and Mohammed Ali in a fictional mix machine. Now add Frank Zappa, Sergio Mendes, Tom Jobim and Roger Waters and fused in to one. What a mix eh? Bat Makumba is this fusion, multiplied by 2.
