Sub-con5cience, an underground hip-hop emcee from Colorado with a deep rooted passion for the music he creates. Influenced by hip-hop music at a fairly young age by the more lyrical side of the genre. His style is compared to the likes of such groups as Wu-Tang, Jedi Mind Tricks, Virtuoso, Styles of Beyond, Lost Children of Babylon, Non-Phixion, Ill Bill, Grayskul, Cage, etc. Firmly believing that alot of music these days is often over-produced he strives for a far grittier sound and at times even abrasive while still keeping a lot of his lyrics with a smoother flow and delivery. As of May 2007 he independently released his debut solo album entitled The Man and The Animal: A Poetic Aggression an album that lives up to the name its been given, raw, aggressive and poetic all at the same time. Not only does he create solo works he also is part of a two person group entitled Upper Echelon with a life long friend who goes by the name of Dsypher. On top of that he is also part of two different international groups, one known as the Tempesta Crew founded in Romania and the other entitled Encrypted Tongues which consists of Sub-con5cience and an emcee from Greece named Athe. With the only primary goal of making high quality intelligent music thats original without being overly concerned about money, Sub-con5cience proves to be an underground artist to the fullest, truly loving and showing passion for the music he creates and has grown up admiring. Sub-con5cience’s first album was essentially a release, a venting of frustrations with society, the world and people in general, and almost angst filled album. After the release of “The Man and the Animal: A Poetic Aggression” he has beginning to go through a sort of transformation into the artist he believes he really is, currently working on two new solo albums which are trying to be completed by late 2008. One entitled “The Metamorphosis” which will show this transformation, which topics such as Enlightenment, Astrology, Metaphysics, Mythology, Egyptology, etc. a very earthy and archaic sound which will still have an aggressive edge. The second album will be entitled “Obscurities”, a culmination of different obscure tracks with a fairly left of center feel, tracks that are essentially different than he would normally create. HAHA! You always know how to cheer me up! I had a month off of work when I broke my back so I tried to brush up on my art. That shit was all done digitally actually using my intuos and corel painter X. It's like 75% airbrush and 25% blenders/photshop effects to make it look more dramatic. As long as it induces nightmares, I am satisfied. You gonna start doing some shows, man? We should all chill sometime when Jared actually has a day off.
