Subculture Stereo formed in 2007 with Dillon Price and Dave Mell. The band played their first show in Springfield, MA in March 2008 and the original line up was Dillon Price on Vocals and Keys, Ted Pratt on Bass, Dave Mell on Guitar, and Scott Schatzer on Drums. We also had a guitar filler, who did some of the background guitars and soloing on our early recordings. Subculture Stereo's current line up consists of Dillon, Ted, Kevin, and Matt. We're working on some new songs and redoing some of our older songs for a new album. The 2008-2010 discography is now available through different websites for a decent price. Lately the band has been busy preparing for shows, recording, and having fun all while holding it down in the world. Thanks for all your support over the years. We love you!!! .. .. Subculture Stereo has rocked these venues: The Elevens, Brass Cat, Maximum Capacity, The Webster Underground, Church Of Boston, Bogies (Albany), The Nook, The Crossroads, The Raven, Fired Up, Cottage Street Studio, The B & G Lounge, Hall Of Fame Billiards, The Waterfront Tavern, Umass Amherst, and Mt. Holyoke College. .. .. We've shared the stage with: The Uncomfortables, Planetoid, The Immolators, Working Class Junkies, The Plague, Gonzo Noir, The Murder Junkies, The Capps, Peace Creeps, The Damaged, Problem With Dragons, Pruf, The Jobz, The Prozacs, Rabbit Rabbit, Flock & Fields, The Creepin Cadavers, The Probates, Worlds Greatest Dad, Dangur, and many more that we don't remember. .. .. Lots of Iggy influences this sound and they keep the integrity going - SUBCULTURE STEREO release of the 7 song E.P. Hookers & Tea - Gimme the tea, gimme the hookers, soak in the raw power, sit back and relax. This will take you to the edge and gently put you back in your seat feeling no pain.- Starr Tucker(New York Waste) .. .. Subculture Stereo's Self Titled debut contains 12 songs which each have their own vibe. Though the band's primary genre is rock n roll and punk, you get a feel of 80s post punk (Devo, Joy Division, New Order) 50s/60s blues, hardcore, and psychedelic. Some tracks are on the comical side and some mean serious business. Just give it a listen for yourself and become hypnotized by a style of music unknown to the mainstream- cdbaby.com .. ..
