SUBDARK is portuguese heavy metal project from Porto, founded by Alexandre Gonçalves (guitar) , Nuno Gonçalves (vocals, bass) and Miguel Sarmento (drums) in early 2005. In this period the basic sound of the band was defined, along with the creation of the classics Demolition, Mayhem and Whispering Shadow.

With only one live performance made, Sarmento left the band at the end of the year, quoting personal reasons. João Pereira, from the now deceased Bleeding Sorrow, filled in for the drums and is now a full-time member.

From 2006 to 2008 the band worked on new songs and performed live often at local clubs and festivals.

In 2009 SUBDARK goes into studio with Paulo Lopes at SOUNDVISION to record the first EP named Noir Coating, containing 3 songs: Warhead, Culture to Kill and Whispering Shadow.

Sep. 11 - the bands first EP Noir Coating is released!
