SubDub began life in 1998 by Leeds Promoters Simon Scott and Mark Salford and since then has become one of UK's most succesful Dub Reggae clubs. Joining forces with good friend Mark Iration, who they knew from the dub scene, he injected his sound system and DJing experience to make what SubDub has become known for: PURE VIBES.
Based in it's spiritual home of the Leeds West Indian Centre you can find Iration Steppas Sound System hosting the mainroom. Guests along the years have included Johnny Clarke, Horace Andy, Lee Perry, Mad Professor, Jah Shaka, Scientist, Jah Tubby's, Zion Train, The Disciples, Bush Chemists, Twinkle Brothers, Channel One, King Earthquake, The Rootsman, Dreadzone, Smith & Mighty, King Shiloh, Aba Shanti and Alpha & Omega.
In the second room you can find Leeds No 1 champion DJ, DJ Steppa, taking control of the decks alongside Exodus and DJ Earthpipe pumping out the dubwise beats and bass. Some of the hottest drum & bass, jungle and dubstep talent guest alongside the residents. Guests have included Andy C, Shy FX, Klute, Amit, Hazard, Potential BadBoy, Remarc, Spirit, Vex'd, Distance, GDub, Benny Page, Equinox, Youngsta and Tactile. Sweetpotato Sound System and decor gives this room a unique blend of tribal and tropical flavas.
With the popularity of the second room the sister night, Transmission was born. Taking centre stage on the Iration Steppas Sound System are some of the worlds leading drum and bass DJs. Hosting Room 2 at Transmission you can find DMZ, South London's dubstep specialists with Digital Mystikz & Loefah taking charge.
The newest edition to SubDub Inc is Exodus. Here you can find DMZ taking centre stage on the Iration Steppas Sound System. Showcasing the leading players in the dubstep scene. Jungle, drum'n'bass, dub & roots selectors can be found in Room 2 at Exodus.

Mikey Dread a commencé dans le sound-system King Edwards en 1973, mais c’est en 1979 que Channel One (sound-system) vit le jour comme tel sur la scène londonienne. Dirigé de mains de maître depuis 30 ans déjà par l’opérateur Mikey Dread et son MC au style unique Ras Kayleb (devenu MC officiel du sound en 1996), Channel One est réputé pour ses sessions de qualité (Notting Hill, University of Dub...) et considéré comme l’un des plus importants sound-systems au monde. Véritable ambassadeur de la scène roots britannique.
