Hello, my name is Mark Mendieta and we are a two-man band called Subject to Thoughts from Brownsville, Texas. I started this project in 1999, with the intention to create original thought-provoking music. I completed my first cassette demo entitled "Outlook" on 2001, but with no vocals. On May 2003, I completed my second cassette demo entitled "The Thought Process," and vocals were introduced for the first time. On August 2005, I completed my third full length demo entitled "From Emptiness to Beyond." This was the first time I had recorded onto CD format, so I considered it the first release. Then on July 2006, my second album "To Embrace the Light." was released. On March 2007, I decided to enlist a new vocalist into my project, and his name is Brandon Strader. He also plays the guitar solos in this new disc. Finally, on June 2007, the end product was released. The new CD is entitled "From Sunrise to Sunset" with a running time of 76 minutes.
"From Sunrise to Sunset" is the third installment to my four part conceptual vision beginning from “From Emptiness to Beyond.” This new CD begins where "To Embrace the Light" left off. It's theme throughout the entire CD deals with trying to find answers in life.
The music can best be described as Dark Melodic Progressive Rock with a New Age mood to it. Our influences are Dream Theater, My Dying Bride, Anekdoten, Enchant, and Katatonia. Hey MARK and SUBJECT TO THOUGHTS, we have posted a test mix (a teaser!) of THE ETHEREAL DREAM featuring former HELLOWEEN singer master Michael Kiske. It's not a heavy track.. but there are still some rocking parts with high vocals! Two different versions of this song will appear on our debut. The original is featuring the huge talent of Mike Gorham... while the 'Kiske-version' will be added as a bonus track". About "34613"; we're slowly but surely getting there! We only have 2 more songs left to record now. I'll keep you updated. Have a great weekend. Best wishes from Sörvik "Rock" City and Northern Norway!!!
Thank you for your message, that makes us great pleasure. We actualy work on the new album and I hope you will love the songs coming ! Stay connected and take care !
Thanks for stopping by to say hello. Been away from my page longer than I would like to have been. Did I say how glad I am to have you on it? Have a great week!
hey! we are trying to change something... our new singer erik can't be a full member of dreamscape because the stess to travel a lot is affecting his health. so we decided to work with more than one singer - honestly we will work with even more than two... hopefully you will like that idea! we like it a lot because we will be very flexible and our sound will become even more complex! kind regards! DREAMSCAPE (progressive metal from germany) (new cd november 2009! - buy or let die!)
PS: always believe in your dreams! and don't get frightened if they are becoming real! - because for a believer they will!
Thanks a lot for the add ! EletriKa sounds completely different from
any Metal band you have ever heard. The Brazilian rhythms and the
Portuguese language added to the songs makes its style unique, giving
birth to a new kind of Metal. If you are really looking for something
new about Metal, you should check EletriKa out!
We're recruiting street team members!! If you'd like to help out and get some free mindflow gear in the process sign up below!! If you're already signed up check out the new street team missions.
Put together the first music video for one of the songs, that being for the song "Eel Marsh House", which is based on the movie "The Woman In Black". Wasn't sure to name it that instead of 'Eel Marsh..." ...Eel Marsh House being where the woman in black 'lived', and now haunts it. Though, she seems to haunt the general area of the village as well as the House. If anyone catches her gaze, looks into her eyes....a child will die, usually from the family of the person unfortunate to look at her. As you see what happens to the story's main character at the end.
Hope you like it, that's about all for now, Cheers! Rob
