School wasnt my thing".Doing is what,I do.Woodworking is what,I do best.I also do other types of arts and crafts.Etching mirrors and glass.I love to paint and draw too.One day,I would like to try my hand at stained glass.I like to design things that are different.My moto in life is "Dare to be Different" cause if everyone in the world was the same.The world would be a boring place to live.God has gave everyone the gift of creativity,its just some of us havent found it yet. Music
I like all kinds of music.Alternative ,New wave ,Punk ,Goth ,Industrial ,Metal and ska.I change my playlist from time to time."So you dont know what to exspect".I grew up between the 70's and 80's.So,I like the best of everything.Or any thing that drives the soul to move. I think music really brings out the best in all of us. Its a fantasty in which we can show strenth and weakness. I mean it boost our heart and soul. It can make us find a part in our life when we are happy and defind a place in our life when were angry. I use alot of music to create works of art. Depending on what mood im in. Pure energy in thought. Music gives off so much. We all feed on it. Its all good. Everyone should let music drive them in a positive way. Its like this crazy drug you cant get enough of. "You know,there are so many people out there,who knock it". Why cant we all enjoy it together. Music can take so many different shapes. Its creativity and art.Dont be a bad critic. It all started with an idea and bloomed into what moves us.I feel it everyday and so do you. I think most people have something inside them, there scared to show others.A fear that they will be laughed at.Be honest its the truth.Be real to yourself.
Movies
I like a movie that is crazy.Something that keeps you going.I hate long drawnout films that dont have a point.I like films that are creative.Movies that can really mess with your mind.I like action,horror,sci fi and concert videos to name a few types.
Television
I really dont watch much t.v.Im the type of person that cant sit still more than ten min.It really has to interest me.I feel like,I dont accomplish much with a t.v. program."Lifes to short to lose out".If,I do watch something on t.v."It would have to be something,I could use in my life".Video's are more my thing.That way,I can choose what,I like."That way its not a disapointment

Heres some more things, I like to do in my spare time. I like to spend time with my familly.We like to go hiking,fishing,camping. I like model railroading,Ive modeled in HO,N.and G scales.Ive had a few layouts in the past. Most of my stuff is packed away now. Ive always been pretty artistic,when it come to building things.I love to do it. Ive lived in this area most of my life.Ive been married for 15 years.I have 4 kids, 3 girls and a son. My occupation is a, CNC Setup Operator.The factory where,I work makes Hydrostatic transmitions for riding lawnmowers (Cub Cadet,Toro,Kubota,Dixen,ect. most of the market.I finished high school in 1986 (Mattoon Sr. High).Well pleased to meet you. feel free to check out my pictures and anything else.I have many hobbies,Creating works of art is one of them.Most people who know me think,im a quite layed back person."Deep down inside im off the wall crazy",lol.I think imagination is key.Its how you use it in life.Yes,im a dreamer that says it all. Who I'd like to meet: THESE ARE SOME OF MY SCROLLSAW PORTRAITS.Theres nothing like taking a strait blank board and turning it into a work of art."After all a picture is worth a thousand words".I use a scrollsaw to make my pictures.I like to cut as big as can.15"X 15"is the biggest so far,but on the average of 11"x 14" and very seldom 8"x"10".The bigger the better.Scrollsaw art,is a art that has endless possibility.I like to cut pictures that you cant get from a scrollsaw mag.I make patterns from pictures of real people,album covers and anything off the wall.It all starts with a great picture to work with.Good contrast and color.Its hard to cut a portrait off a cellphone.Ive done it before,but there's no comparison.Alot of the patterns,ive made are from real pictures.Ive masterd alot of it from doing picture editing over the years.Plus just drawing alot of different things and knowing how shaddow and light works.I like to draw alot of crazy stuff too.I have a wild imagination.Sometimes it takes me off the deep end,but,thats the way like it.Creativity is a wonderful thing..
Hey, your new art is looking great man. i see you figured out how to make them a lot larger. ive been cleaning out my shop for a few weeks. i need some more shelves so im in a stalemate right now. my uncle is going to help me when he has some time off from work. ive been piling up wood to use and my work benches were covered up. i didnt want to have to get out in the sloppy weather looking for wood this winter like i usually have to. i got a couple nice blades for my bandsaw and dulled one already cutting turning blanks and some boards. i think it could saw lumber with the right blade and using short logs about 5 or 6 feet long. well hope you have a great thanksgiving man, sorry i havent chatted for awhile. Hey, i finally got my new lathe. it came in fast, i ordered it about 3 days ago and it got here already. it isnt all together yet. need the motor bolted on and a few other things but it looks like a good one. 16 inches from the bed to the spindle and the head spins 360 degrees so i can turn up to 24 inches across with an attachment on it. mainly a bowl or plate at that size. this should be the last one i ever need. it wasnt the one i wanted but its basically the same just has pulleys for speed instead of the electronic speed control. well im bushed so i ll get off here, ttyl.
Looks great man! i like the canoe piece you did too. i just got through building a new lathe bench so i can get to it better. hope it holds up haha its only got one leg so i can get up under the end of it with no restrictions. i havent got to use it yet but ive piddled with it checking how good i can get under it. seems like it will work good. hope you had a good labor day weekend, talk to ya later.
