Influences
In addition to each other, every musician out there will influence you in many ways. I enjoy going to jams just for the purpose of sitting back and watching and learning. I love seeing some of the local female musicians perform such as Dawn from Red Eye Express, Bev Perron from Bev Perron and the Boogie Band, and one of my favorites, Annie Baker of Dirty Looks! There are countless others - but I'm terrible with names! One of my personal influences is my grandmother. I grew up watching her play her piano and sing in church. She would always push me out there in front of people to make me sing as well. I'd have to say that "Red Grandma" is the one that put the "stage bug" in me! She made sure I got her piano when she had to move into assisted living. I was fortunate enough to be able to play and sing for her recently one last time on May 15, 2007 at her funeral. Feeling her loving presence allowed me to make it through that song! I miss you so very much Grandma!
Sounds Like
Oh we all have been compared to various people! That's one of my favorite portions of the night when someone comes up to you and says, you sound just like . . . . So Terry I'd have to say would be a good comparison to any of those 80's bands like R.E.M., Durran Durran, . Dave Axen is Hootie - hands down! Bob's been doing a pretty darn good Tom Petty immitation with our new song Break Down! People have thrown various names at me, but as I said, I'm really bad with names! Personally, I think I sound like Heather Munson! Hmmmmmm!
Check out this video from our New Years Eve party!!!! "No one was hurt during this event!!!!"
A little New Years Relief!!
This is Heather from The Sublimitones. I’ve been playing keys and singing with this great band for about 6 years. With me are Terry, Dave, and Bob. These guys have been great friends and an inspiration to me! Couldn’t ask for a better group. I look forward to many years to come with them. We play in the Northern Illinois/Southern Wisconsin area. You’ll find us in bars, churches, block parties, private parties, or any place else you allow us to play! Check out our schedule and we hope to see you out!
Thanks to Gretchen and the gang for throwing an AWESOME New Years Eve party in Winthrop Harbor!!! Look for some of the photos from that party amongst our pictures!

Post that video, again. I thought there was something wrong with my page display, so I deleted a bunch of stuff. It was just the Mac, at work, though. You should receive a check for those tickets, tomorrow, or soon thereafter. Oh, and I'm not sure if Brad mught like it, but there is a big CHRISTian Rock Fest at Universal Studios, in Orlando, Fri-Sun, September 5-7. My church is taking a group, and we are staying right at the park. Tickets for the music are $69, and that includes theme park and concert admission all three days.
