    "This rock band attacks their songs with the 'fuzz-drunk' musicianship which has seen them placed as one of the founding groups of the new UK grunge scene." UK based and US label signed, SUBSET has shared the stage with the likes of Icarus Line and Random Hand. They bring the sights and sounds of a vibrant international rock-scene bang up to date with a lively stage show and their own take on alternative rock. Holding true to the punk DIY ethos, this 4-piece band is either touring, writing or recording. They are happiest, however, when gigging and meeting their fans. SUBSET have played everywhere from dingy squat parties to grand theatres. They started playing live in early 2009 with no money or resources fulfilling their first tour in 2010 without a van by carrying their equipment and travelling by bus. Within their first year together, their growing fanbase convinced them to enter the Surface Unsigned Competition. Beating over 100 acts to the final they finished in the top 5 bands– nationally. Through word-of-mouth, SUBSET came to the attention of Simon Trought (Let's Wrestle, Screaming Tea Party, and Stolen Recordings) who produced their first track. "Reminiscent of Mudhoney, Nirvana and the beloved messy Subpop rock that has stood the test of time. Add to that their dramatic live performance and they are bound to break the American rock circuit soon!" John Bromage, Avatar Management Low-fi, fuzzrock, grungy and realist post-punk are among the many adjectives and sub-genres which have been used to describe Subset - come to a show and decided for yourself....
