   About Subsketch

Subsketch - The Department of Human Services - Teaser from Subsketch Television on Vimeo.

'Subsketch's debut LP showcases exactly what sets him apart from his contemporaries, the music crafted with a somewhat cinematic feel, his flow comfortably walking the line between rhyming and singing. Something totally different is not always for everyone but those who persevere with open ears can be genuinely rewarded.' – In The Mix

'It’s refreshing to see Australian hip hop finally turn the corner away from boring battle raps, party cliches and misogyny.' - Cyclic Defrost Magazine

'Very wordy, very abstract, very dark, very different. Cheaper Than Therapy is one of the more unique albums you'll hear this year.' - Groove On.com

'Subsketch is a bit different from most of the Hip-Hop artists making music in Australia at the moment. Introverted, dark and poetically abstract, Subsketch's sound is closer to that of Sage Francis, Buck 65 or the Anticon label than the funk sampling, straight-up Hip-Hop sound of almost everybody else in Australia' - dB Magazine

'It's a truly melodic kind of hip-hop that Subsketch creates, one filled with instrumental experimentation that provides for an almost cinematic experience. As the album title suggests, who needs therapy when you've got this one to keep you sane?' – Syn FM, All Australian Album Of The Week

Sydney?
What does she have that Hobart doesn't? If you want mountain huts for album thought collecting you could visit and stay up on one of our many mt wellington huts above the city - just bring a shitload of batteries for the MPC. Free rent! eat possums for food (no wait - you're vegetarian?). Eat mountain berries and peppers and the roots of buttongrass. Me n Bridget gots an awesome house at the foot of the mountain with a spare room yo welcome to also sometime.

Awesome to hear theres a new release afoot!

I traded my MPC for recording a lofi album to be finished in next months... but bought effects for my keyboard today...

I shall read your blog with mine eyes and ready mine ears,

Sam.

Hey there,

Here's one from left field...

Ever wondered what to do in the event of a nuclear threat?

A while ago I found stuff that inspired me to make this film:

Living Under the Shadow of the Nuclear Umbrella

Both artistic (ensure you get the background music!) and educational, it primarily comprises official British government civil defence advice.

Though source materials are quite aged, much remains relevant today.

I encourage all to visit the YouTube page to learn more (Show support! Rate! Comment!) and responsibly circulate as widely as possible, here:
http://www. youtube. com/watch?v=UaIim3Rj7L4

Help to raise awareness.

Say have you checked out my web site recently?

Take care and keep in touch.

Best,
Faber.
