Songs uploaded onto my Myspace Player--------------
“Whiplash”: This tune was originally recorded in 1997 and available only on cassette on the EP called 'PlasmaTracks'. This cut was written back when I was all about playing Acid Breaks and reminds me of playing crazy warehouse raves in Phoenix and Tucson before I fell in love with all things Trance. This was also when the Roland TB-303 was in full-effect!
“mo-no-FON-ik-uh”: Available on my CD released in 2002, this tune was constructed entirely with analogue synths and drum machines. It was programmed and triggered via my Roland TR-808’s trigger outputs. This is a cut that I’d dreamt of making for years… long live the Robots!
“I Heart Synthpop”: I recorded this several years back with the intention of emulating my old heroes Yaz, Erasure and early Depeche Mode. This track is an exercise in melodicism, a retrospective of all things electronic and in a nutshell, synthpop, minus the vocals.
“LektroCUTE”: Originally recorded in 1999 and put on my CD called ‘Bleep-Blip-Hop-Non-Stop’, this is just me tweaking the heck out of my analogue synths and going nutso with my KORG MS-20 which is responsible for that squidgy sound that I’ve been hearing in all those new Electro House tunes these days. Did I get a glimpse of the future with this track? Hmmm…
“Acid Bastard”: This cut was inspired by my pal DJ Citrik and our love for all things ACID back in the late 90’s. Recorded in the early morning hours at the old DTS house after jamming for hours on end... I pressed record as an after thought. It’s nothing fancy, just pure 303, 909, JX-3P and a deep love for ACID and old warehouses!
“99Luftballoon”: This was a transitional tune for me right before I made my way into producing Trance. With this track, I pushed myself to focus on the groove that Trance can bring when on the dance floor. I can hear my old analogue gear doing what I’d programmed them to do but with a marked and definite intention that was moving way beyond what those instruments were capable of. As an artist, I was moved to follow my heart and delve head first into the groove and brilliant light of Trance. I have not looked back since…
Many thanks to the promotional crew at FUSE FRIDAYS for giving me a DJ Residency for this super-cool Friday night weekly in downtown Phoenix at Bar Smith! I am known predominately as a Producer and LIVE Trance PA and as such, I am honored to be given this residency! I am very pleased to know that my skills behind the turntables had been noticed with regard to track selection, beat matching and all the rest of it. Never did I think that I would have been asked to fill a role as a resident DJ. Of course my heart will always be with Producing and Playing LIVE. This most certainly will become a new chapter in my life as a musician and will definitely bring me closer to that which I LOVE the most: Electronic Dance Music and dance music culture!
Shout Outs to the current resident’s at FUSE FRIDAYS:DJ Sol Martinez, DJ Mara, Disco Da, and E.C. I love you all and will do my very best to contribute musically and creatively to such a wonderful Friday night weekly!
If you’ve never been to FUSE FRIDAYS, I suggest you check it out when in downtown Phoenix, Arizona on a Friday night. The vibe is heart-felt and filled with a passion for all things electronic, funky and above all, dance!
