Influenced by everything from late 1970’s New York rock’n’roll, British punk, Oi, and 1980’s American hardcore punk, Suburban Lockdown lights the fuse and stands still. The songs are short, sharp shocks of speed, aggression, and melody, centered around themes of working-class frustration, everyday life, and rock’n’roll mayhem. Since their inception, Suburban Lockdown has been extremely active, playing shows with The Briefs, The Vibrators, The Business, Roger Merit and the Disasters, Gang Green, Murphy’s Law, Iron Cross, IRA, The Freeze, Clit-45, None More Black, The Casualties, GBH, Defiance, Lower Class Brats, Citizen Fish, Leftover Crack, The Hudson Falcons, IRA, Naked Aggression, Total Chaos, THe Krum bums, Murphy’s Law, Darkbuster, and Beer Zone to name a few.
