About Subversive Zone
The Subversive Zone is a collective. A community of artists pushing the envelope of high tech musical creativity.
Subversive Zone Online
Subversive Zone is meant to be a seminal event. It brings together new band mates, producers, vjs, writers and artists in general to collaborate in ways that would not otherwise have been possible. However conditions change and realizations occur that all creative acts must be surrendered in order to resurrect as even greater ideas guided by the careful chaos of life. By the chaos of this life may we steal away again and again to manifest our will through sound and all that is created by it. Let us undo the preconceived notions of what it may bring. Thus in our subversive zone we shall prosper in the immediate gratification of our collective endeavors. Let us find solace in a place of our own making that we may experiment with sounds that make us feel and think to believe in something real.
Is it agony or is it ecstasy you hear?
Lifting someone's heart matters; then there's entertainment.
We are currently working on promotions for the 3rd installation of the Subversive Zone event. The next installation will likely be held once a month for a year. Do keep dropping in as we are continually adding subversive art to the space in which we live.
If you're not doing anything tomorrow/sunday, thought I'd say hey come down to Dunes (1909 NE M L King Blvd) at 4pm. 4pm? yes I know, but hey, why not afternoon shows? Music exists in all times. Thought we'd give it a try. Myself (nevyn nowhere/sad music for happy humans) will be doing an improv/looping/experimental/beats sort of set, and there will be another lad there doing some great rhythmic looping. Should be small but good people and sounds, if all goes well. ;)

As many of you know, I'm leaving for Tuva on the 16th of June to further my studies in Khoomei (Tuvan throat singing) as well as compete in the International Khoomei Symposium in late July. I've worked tirelessly for almost 6 months straight to raise $10,000 to fund this climactic life endeavour.
