Subvrosa came together in the spring of 2006, combining the various musical and cultural styles of five complete strangers. With members coming from as far away as the Broadway stages of NYC, to the dense jungles of Guam, the five-piece all came to Hollywood in search of something different. What they uncovered was a new creative method by which to interpret the neo-Alternative Rock scene.
Subvrosa's self-described sound, "Rock-fusion," is a blend of several rock styles infused with a little bit of Jazz, Funk and whatever else they feel like throwing in. Each member brings their own different influences to the table, creating a melting pot of sounds and styles, while still maintaining a consistent feel.
During the past year and a half they have been together, Subvrosa has played over 40 gigs all over California, including some of Hollywood's biggest clubs like The Roxy and The Troubadour. Their music has been featured in a handful of television shows including MTV's Road Rules, Real World and the Oxygen Channel's Bad Girls Club.
Subvrosa recently signed to the indie label King's Ransom based out of the San Diego area, and will be hitting the studios shortly!
