After seven years running - surviving the small town syndrome and the deserts of New Mexico, braving Denver winters and unpaid electrical bills, and both losing and gaining valued members - Sudden Epidemic has decided it's about time for a change.
When Tyler and I started this band back in junior high - playing acoustic guitar into computer microphones (and what would eventually become "Marigolds") and stringing extension cords for amplifiers out of classroom windows - we had no idea where we would end up the next year let alone five years later. With Tyler leaving the band that he helped create, and new member Elise Alde bringing new aspects, inspirations, and invaluable ideas into the mix, we have all decided it is time to make a drastic change.
Sudden Epidemic as I know it is over. We are now Jane Lane, and we're back in Denver, Colorado - ready to introduce the world to a brand new, electrified concoction of both chaos and compassion. It is time to let go of what we once were - a pop punk garage band with undying dreams and nothing to lose - and embrace who we are now.
Thank you for all your support, and I hope you all will follow us forward into what we expect to be a completely new and vastly exciting future.
- Jordan Daniel, Sudden Epidemic
