Sudden Silence:
In Jan 2008 Sudden Silence set out to write the new album which was yet untitled. New material in the making was heading in a much different direction. Heavy, progressive, dynamic and fresh are words that come to mind. A break was taken in the form of a battle of the bands at 'The Doghouse' in Medicine Hat (RIP), which we took home 1st prize. Another was a rockin' St. Patty's day party in our home town, some good music for the people and exposure for our band. During the summer months we worked through the heat, completed and polished off our nine songs for the new record, Scorched Earth. Currently we are in the studio officially tracking and nearing completion of our album. Our title track we finished early to be featured on 272 Record's "Kill City Volume 12", a compilation disk of underground metal artists, it was released on Oct 31st of 2008. This cd is an important step in our ascension to great things. - Derek Cooper
