CREATIVE MARKETING IN EIGHT DIMENSIONS.. ..You have entered the ..SPACEMATE.. dimension.. .. ..Owing to the unspecific & rambling nature of the submitted report, certain sections have been omitted.. .. WE…Sudden, or ‘Sudden’ Sway as we came to be known, were in the Musical Selfsel trade & it was a pretty lucrative Selfsel trade too. Just one well produced jingle with the right bass-bits over the dance break could make you a creditaire overnight. That’s not counting the airwave indemnities, the ‘Loveliness’ thankyous & other stuff from the Cereal & Bio firms of course. But Selfsel had to have ‘Nice-K’ (Suitability for everyone & weirdness enough for the rest) cos if it didn’t it didn’t sell & all that painstakingly developed Selfsel would end up in a backdome discdump where folks could pick it up for virtually nothing in the ‘Sadness’ hours before recyling....... ...our Selfsel like most other successfuls had Nice-K & improved ‘Spark’ because it was visual, made a lot of important points per chorus & was recorded on ‘Nowage’ sound-gear. Poetry & other ‘Artgrade’ material had none of that so rarely got used anymore... .. .. ...that morning we'd nipped down on a PAYE shuttle to the Jingle Centre at PiccyWest which by the way is going to be brillthing oh with 'Multitrack' sound-change buttons, 'Nowage' equipment & girls who bring coffee-break 'Biscuit-time' every half-hour... .. .. ...& that was what had made us so successful but Nat came back with a melody about having 'Future-vantage' & we got minus nice & wired our last protest jingle 'Sudden Sway - about today' onto the sound circuit... .. .. ...down in up! Nicer now & there we were in the back row of an 'Oldstyle' movieplace where a 'Good' film was watchable for a while except it didn't seem to have much action, revolving basically around this dirtyish guy of 'bloke' level who walks into a softlit flat with a toolbag of tigerlilies & throws them onto the furry carpet. A 'Prettilady' with Love-eyes is saying 'hurry' while he's measuring the duvet... .. .. ...and as we altered we noticed & as we noticed we absorbed plink millions a-ha! laundry bags of atomspots in the wallpaper which moved when you looked at them that's funny isn't it look... .. .. ...and we wondered why we were watching the wallpaper when the TV was on & we wondered what a TV was. We wondered over tea getting used to this old flat, which was similar to our official, future one but more dirty, more basic & much more old... .. .. ...and he's sitting there saying "It won't sell"; not like that anyway & maybe just a more MODERN touch might do it provided it was completed in time for the 'Vacation' market, that was important for MAXIMISATION, yes of course the feel was still important but it needed to be bigger, RICHER somehow & if it wasn't it wouldn't sell & he wouldn't buy which was confusing but so crazylogical that we knew this was the Present at last... .. .. ...The Present... the Present's kind of depressing cos everything's so uncertain at the moment. Well, you knew where you WERE in the past didn't you & where you'd BEEN in the future. Still, that's all in the hands of YOUR group isn't it and right NOW the most important thing is the single, out soon, good promotion for the album if it sells & that's down to the airplay but the tour should help hold it... .. .. ...Here we go again.
